Carta de Domingo: Atraer, Retener y Formar, la Clave para el Crecimiento de Rotary

Queridos compañeros en el servicio,

La fortaleza de Rotary reside en sus socios: hombres y mujeres comprometidos con transformar comunidades y dejar un legado de paz y progreso. Sin embargo, para seguir marcando la diferencia, necesitamos crecer. Crecer no solo en números, sino en diversidad, ideas y alcance.

Hoy quiero reflexionar sobre una estrategia clave para lograrlo: Atraer, Retener y Formar nuevos clubes, una fórmula esencial para el futuro de Rotary.

Atraer nuevos socios
Cada persona tiene una chispa única que puede enriquecer a Rotary. Debemos ser creativos y salir de nuestra zona de confort para identificar potenciales socios: jóvenes profesionales, emprendedores, líderes comunitarios y personas con el deseo de servir. Atraer no significa solo invitar, sino mostrarles el impacto y la pasión de Rotary. ¡Ellos serán los agentes de cambio de nuestras comunidades!

Retener a quienes ya son parte
Atraer es solo el primer paso. El reto verdadero es mantener a los socios inspirados y comprometidos. Para lograrlo, debemos:

Ofrecer proyectos relevantes que conecten con sus intereses.
Fomentar un ambiente de amistad y reconocimiento.
Proveer oportunidades de crecimiento personal y liderazgo.
Un socio que se siente valorado no solo se queda, sino que se convierte en un embajador de Rotary.

Formar nuevos clubes
En algunos lugares, las comunidades necesitan un espacio propio para servir. Aquí entran los clubes satélites y los nuevos clubes.

Los clubes satélites permiten a personas de diferentes horarios, localidades o enfoques unirse bajo el respaldo de un club existente.
Los nuevos clubes ofrecen oportunidades en comunidades donde Rotary aún no está presente.
Imaginemos la fuerza que podemos tener si llevamos Rotary a lugares donde nunca ha estado, permitiendo que más personas vivan la experiencia de servir.

Un llamado a la acción
Amigos, nuestra misión es clara. Abramos las puertas de Rotary a quienes buscan un propósito mayor. Ampliemos nuestro alcance, abracemos nuevas ideas y trabajemos juntos para construir una membresía vibrante y diversa.

Invito a cada club a reflexionar:

¿Cómo podemos ser más visibles en nuestras comunidades?
¿Qué estrategias podemos implementar para atraer y retener a los socios?
¿Dónde podemos formar clubes satélites o nuevos clubes?
El futuro de Rotary depende de nosotros. Hagamos de esta oportunidad una realidad y sigamos Unidos en Servicio, Amistad y Paz.

Sunday Letter: Attract, Retain, and Form – The Key to Rotary’s Growth

Dear friends in service,

The strength of Rotary lies in its members: men and women committed to transforming communities and leaving a legacy of peace and progress. However, to continue making a difference, we must grow—not only in numbers but in diversity, ideas, and reach.

Today, I want to reflect on a key strategy to achieve this: Attract, Retain, and Form new clubs, an essential formula for Rotary’s future.

Attracting New Members
Every individual has a unique spark that can enrich Rotary. We must think creatively and step outside our comfort zones to identify potential members: young professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and individuals with a desire to serve. Attracting is not just about inviting but about showing them Rotary’s impact and passion. These individuals will become the changemakers of our communities!

Retaining Existing Members
Attracting members is just the first step. The real challenge is keeping them inspired and engaged. To do this, we must:

Offer meaningful projects that align with their interests.
Foster an environment of fellowship and recognition.
Provide opportunities for personal growth and leadership.
A member who feels valued doesn’t just stay—they become an ambassador for Rotary.

Forming New Clubs
In some areas, communities need their own space to serve. This is where satellite clubs and new clubs come in.

Satellite clubs allow people with different schedules, locations, or interests to unite under the umbrella of an existing club.
New clubs offer opportunities in communities where Rotary has yet to be present.
Imagine the impact we could have if we brought Rotary to places it has never been, allowing more people to experience the joy of service.

A Call to Action
Friends, our mission is clear. Let’s open the doors of Rotary to those seeking a greater purpose. Let’s expand our reach, embrace new ideas, and work together to build a vibrant and diverse membership.

I encourage every club to reflect:

How can we become more visible in our communities?
What strategies can we implement to attract and retain members?
Where can we form satellite clubs or new clubs?
The future of Rotary is in our hands. Let’s seize this opportunity and continue to move forward United in Service, Friendship, and Peace.
